MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL
Hubby and I went with some friends to an early Christmas Eve service at Christ Church, Indy's Episcopal Cathedral. We're Baptists, but the truths of the Bible and the carols transcend denomination; there's something awesome about singing backed up by a pipe organ, or hearing lovely old carols sung by a superb choir backed up by a pipe organ, and the prayers haven't lost the simple majesty of the Book of Common Prayer. It was a beautiful service, and as a finishing touch, it had started snowing, and we walked out into a world of diamond, crystal, and white velvet against the soft, glowing gray backdrop of the early night sky, lit by the lights of the world's largest Christmas tree, surrrounded by the exultant pealing of the church bells...simply marvelous, even if we did catch a faceful of the coldest wind this season as soon as we got a few feet away from the church porch...
Well, I'd like to wish all my readers a very merry Christmas, or other appropriate seaonal geating, and may you all be safe! Catch you later!
